With thirteen restaurants, a luxury aparthotel and an escape room all under one roof, Manchester’s Corn Exchange has it all going on this Valentine’s.

Home to a whole host of fine restaurants – including superb Glaswegian steak restaurant Alston Bar & Beef and Indian dining concept Mowgli – whether you’re in the mood for a classic evening of wining and dining or something a touch more casual the Corn Exchange has you covered.

With restaurant cuisines ranging from a tasty curry to a succulent steak, there’s something to suit every couple. And if you fancy making a night out of it, you can always check into Roomzzz to carry on the party.

Here is some of the best on offer this Valentine’s Day.

Alston Bar & Beef

Alston boasts an impressive selection of quality steaks and seafood, all carefully sourced from trusted producers. The bar is also home to hidden gin bar – which lays claim to a mouth-watering selection of home-infused gins that change every other week.

Salvi’s Mozzarella Bar & Restaurant

To enjoy a slice of Neapolitan life in Manchester, look no further than Salvi’s original site in the Corn Exchange. Enter the restaurant through the tantalising deli – home to a range of Italian delights with everything from burrata to mortadella on display – and head downstairs to enjoy fine wine, pizzas and pasta made in the true Italian style.

Cabana Brasilian Barbeque

Perfect for a lively dinner – the menu at Cabana offers something to get your pulse racing this Valentine’s with options including flame-grilled spicy (or mild) malagueta chicken and a sharing dessert of Chocolate Raindrop Doughnuts. Stuffed with Nutella and served piping hot, these sound like the highlight to us.

Cosy Club

With walls covered in pieces of Manchester history and an impressive bar – which in fact comes originally from an old pub at Liverpool Lime Street station called ‘The Head of Steam’ – the Cosy Club offers a wonderful setting in which to enjoy a romantic meal. Choose from dishes including salt-roasted beetroot and whipped feta with a walnut vinaigrette or crispy chorizo, pomegranate and hummus with pitta bread.

Mowgli

All about authenticity, the food at Mowgli reflects how Indians eat both at home and on their city streets. Founder Nisha Katona showcases her heritage with a menu that features authentic recipes from her auntie’s, mother and grandmother’s Varanasi stove. Great for veggies and vegans too, Mowgli is a great all-rounder with a casual dining feel.

Wahaca

Perfect for sharing – small plates of Mexican market-style food abound at this lively chain restaurant. Wahaca’s Valentine’s menus are packed with delicious street food and are perfect for sharing whilst gazing into each other’s eyes (and trying to steal the last taco).

Pizza Express

Classic pizzeria Pizza Express is offering a three-course sharing menu for two, priced at £29.95. Kick off with Instagram-worthy sharing Dough Ball Hearts with three dips: pesto, garlic butter and pestorissa. Will you share the last one with your date?

Enjoy the perfect Valentine’s Day for you at Corn Exchange – there really is something for everyone.
