Every Sunday Gaucho Manchester host their new Gospel Brunch.
From 2pm-5pm, guests can enjoy the glorious sounds of a gospel choir alongside their food – either choosing from Gaucho’s fantastic a la carte menu or opt for a Sunday Roast.
Singing a selection of upbeat soul tracks, the group’s fantastic use of harmonies captures the essence of a gospel style choir.
The restaurant still serves their classic Argentine steaks and wines which are popular with guests, but have added dishes at a lower price point so now there is something for everyone. The new menu also introduces a wider selection of Latin American style items with ‘classic’ and ‘nuevo’ sections.
Elegant new starters include ceviche with tuna, charred palmito, grapefruit, coriander, pomegranate and popping yuzu pearls; and king scallops served in the shell with blood pudding, spiced orange butter, charred orange, chorizo crumble and nasturtium.
New mains include grilled swordfish with mixed bean cassoulet, palourde clams and grilled lemon, and glazed pork belly with pickled cabbage, celeriac, cider jus and crackling.
But it’s not all meat. A new, vegan-friendly main course consists of pearl barley arrabiatta with grilled courgette, artichoke heart, Peruvian olive and cipolline onion and cherry tomato.
That’s not to say that steak isn’t still a big attraction for many Gaucho diners, though – and prices aren’t as steep as you might think. A 250g rump steak on the a la carte menu comes in at £16.95.
For daytime dining, a set menu served from 12pm – 7pm offers two courses for £20 and three courses for £23 and includes options such as baked provoleta cheese followed by 225g rump or sirloin steak served with chips or rocket and kale salad and your choice of peppercorn, mushroom, béarnaise, blue cheese hollandaise or red wine jus.
There’s poached salmon salad if you don’t fancy steak, or half a spatchcock chicken marinated in oregano, parsley and sherry vinegar, while desserts include cinnamon churros with sweet, caramelly dulce de leche.
Gospel Brunch takes place every Sunday throughout December, between 2pm and 5pm. Advance bookings are advised…
