Christmas is just around the corner. Perhaps you’ve already got all of your gifts wrapped and under the tree, or perhaps – like most of us – you’ve still got a few bits left to sort.

There are always a few tricky people to buy for and town only gets busier as it gets closer to the big day. We’ve seen some proper big queues in the shops this week – something we’d forgotten was actually still a thing thanks to online shopping (apart from the never-ending lines in Primark, that is).

So if you’re thinking you’d like to swerve the madness of the last minute present dash but still have some gifts you need to buy, award-winning city centre distillery Manchester Three Rivers has a few last minute options for the gin lover in your life. The best bit? You can purchase them from your sofa, preferably with a glass of something nice in hand – ideally a G&T.

The Manchester Three Rivers Gin Experience is the creme de la creme of experiences. Within a year of launching it became the most popular attraction in Manchester on TripAdvisor and earlier this year it was named the number one attraction in the whole of the UK.

The three-hour experience takes place in Manchester Three Rivers’ beautiful hand-built distillery. It takes you through the history of gin and how Manchester Three Rivers Gin is made, before helping you to make your own full bottle of gin to take home using their miniature copper stills, choosing from over 50 botanicals.

Tickets are £95 a pop and include plenty of booze on the night, including G&Ts, classic gin cocktails and a neat spirit tasting – guaranteeing a merry evening for all involved. Gift vouchers are valid for six months from purchase date. Book by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.

If you can’t get down to the Gin Experience, why not opt for a bottle of the good stuff instead?

Well balanced with a combination of 11 botanicals with a mid-palette sweetness derived from vanilla, cinnamon, almond and oats (a nod to the preferred breakfast of Manchester’s industrial workers), their small batch dry gin has won loads of awards.

Designed by Manchester Three Rivers master distiller Dave Rigby to be just as good neat as in a G&T or classic cocktail, a bottle of Three Rivers gin will be a hit, no matter how your loved ones like their gin. Fins stockists here.

By the way, if you’ve been to the Gin Experience, you can re-order a bottle of your own recipe gin to share with a loved one this Christmas. So don’t stress. Sit down, have a gin, it’s all going to be OK.
