Whilst most of us are in denial about the arrival of the colder months, 20 Stories is welcoming winter with open arms by hosting a celebratory Blackout Dinner on the very evening that the clocks go back.

The restaurant, named in our choice of the 50 best restaurants in Greater Manchester, and far too posh to call the evening a Halloween gig, will be plunged into darkness and the food will be served by twinkling candlelight alone.

The four-course menu curated by chef director Aiden Byrne will comprise comforting, decadent dishes using the finest seasonal locally sourced produce.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles before enjoying roasted langoustine with hazelnut risotto, sherry jelly and smoked foie gras. This will be followed by beetroot poached salmon with citrus salad and fennel.

The main event comes in the form of perfectly cooked beef fillet with oxtail doughnuts, bone marrow emulsion and grilled broccoli, before Aiden’s signature Manchester Tart is served for pudding.

Sunday, 28th October 2018. Tickets £65pp or £100pp with wine pairing. Arrive at 7pm for dinner at 7.30pm. Reservations can be made by emailing [email protected] or calling 0161 204 3333.
