Beer Yoga is coming back to Manchester – here’s how to get involved

There’s nothing quite like sipping on an icy cold beer of an afternoon. Except, of course, achieving a higher state of consciousness through the practice of yoga. But now, you can do both at the same.

If you’ve ever found yourself struggling between hitting the gym and cracking open a cold one, we’ve got just the after-work activity for you. Get ready to take your calm to the next level with a session of beer yoga.

Since the beginning of last year, beer yoga has become a bit of an international obsession. Perhaps unsurprisingly, considering it combines two of life’s greatest activities.

The craze first kicked off with German yogis Bieryoga, who started offering tailored sessions and classes around Berlin after seeing it done at Burning Man festival. Fast forward through 2017, with the trend going viral across London, and it seems it’s here to stay.

As ardent fans of both beer and yoga we’re pretty happy about this, so we’ve partnered with Funzing to bring it back to Manchester.

Marrying two of our greatest loves, this new fitness craze combines two time-honoured therapies for the mind, body, and soul. Taking the philosophies of yoga and pairing it with the pleasure of beer-drinking, your instructor will guide you to reach your highest level of consciousness during your session.

For just £12 you’ll enjoy an hour of energising Vinyasa Flow with fully certified and lively instructor Guzel, with plenty beer salutations along the way. Included in this price is a free bottle of beer and a free yoga mat to use during the session.

For those interested, non-alcoholic beer and other non-alcoholic drinks are available for the session. You must be 18 or over to attend the workshop, so please bring ID with you.

The venue is perfect for post-yoga activities to chill, too, with pool, beer pong, darts and ping pong tables available to use after your session. Pick up your tickets here and check out the Facebook event for more information and updates.
