On Sunday of October 22nd, beats and goals collide at BOOT2BOOT—a charity football tournament in Cheetham Hill.

Local clubs, radio stations, bands, and music enthusiasts will unite for a fantastic cause: Families Against Violence, a relentless nonprofit committed to steering our city’s youth and families away from the shadows of violence.

Kicking off for a Cause: The Tournament

Manchester’s music community is gearing up for an extraordinary day of camaraderie and community support.

At precisely 12:00 PM, the action begins at Cheetham Hill Goals as some of the city’s most prominent music collectives and teams go head-to-head on the football pitch.

Participating teams include Artist Operations, Chop Shop, Conor Michael + The Greenskeepers, DBA, DR3, Glued, Great Danes, Hidden, Inner Inc, LR&C, Me Gusta, Old Abbey Taphouse, Rebellion, Reform Radio, ROMFC, Tiriba , Warped, Warehouse Project, XLR and YES.

The Official After-Party: Music and More

Once the final whistle blows, participants and supporters will reconvene at the iconic Cheetham Hill pub and music venue, The Derby Brewery Arms.

The official after-party promises to be an unforgettable night, featuring an impressive lineup of local DJs from the participating collectives.

As the beats keep the night alive, a  Sunday roast spread by Dip In will keep the punters well-fed.

Raising the Stakes: The Raffle and Trophy Presentation

The festivities don’t end with music and food.

The after-party includes an exciting raffle with enticing prizes, ensuring that every attendee has a chance to walk away with something special.

The highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be the trophy presentation, honouring the victors of the football tournament.

Supporting Families Against Violence: A Noble Cause

The heart and soul of BOOT2BOOT lie in its commitment to supporting Families Against Violence.

This non-profit charity strives to help children and young people in Manchester grow up as role models for future generations, steering them away from the cycle of violence that often plagues our communities.

Focused primarily on assisting Black and ethnic minority families affected by violence, their overarching goal is to provide mentorship, role models, diversionary sports activities, safe spaces, and pathways into training and employment.

Making an Impact: Your Contributions Matter

Every pound raised during the charity football tournament and its associated activities goes directly to Families Against Violence, creating a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.

If you wish to stand in solidarity with this worthy cause, you can donate through the Resident Advisor link, not only making a difference but also gaining access to the electrifying after-party.

Bridging the Worlds of Sport and Music

Connor Cooper, the event organiser said: “BOOT2BOOT offers an opportunity for various groups involved with the night-time music scene here in Manchester to gather outside of venues and clubs in order to build the community even further and support an amazing cause simultaneously.

“Sport and music are at the beating heart of what this city is built on and the event will wonderfully enable these two worlds to collide.”

In the heart of Manchester, BOOT2BOOT brings together the city’s music community to champion a vital cause.

It’s a day that underscores the strength of unity, the joy of sport, and the power of music, all for the betterment of the community and a brighter future for the youth.

Don’t miss this unique event, where charity, music, and sports converge, for a day you won’t forget!
