This BAFTA-nominated sitcom, set in the fictional town of Hawley, continues to capture the hearts of viewers with its hilariously endearing characters and their wild antics.

Brassic, the successful sitcom from Sky One, might be inspired by Joe Gilgun’s experiences growing up in Chorley but is set in the fictional town of Hawley and was filmed in locations across the north west.

Brassic revolves around a group of friends who find themselves navigating life in the quirky town of Hawley.

Often resorting to petty crime to make ends meet, the show’s central character, Dylan, portrayed by the talented Damien Molony, faces a tough decision when his girlfriend Erin, played by Michelle Keegan, yearns for a fresh start in a new town.

The series, known for its unique blend of humour and heart, has kept audiences eagerly awaiting each new season.

Season 4 of Brassic graced screens last August on Sky Max and Now TV, leaving fans hungry for more of the Manchester-based comedy.

You can find out where they do the filming of Brassic here.

At last night’s celebration, the cast and crew reunited to mark the return of this iconic series at 53Two in Manchester

We spoke to Simon Naylor, Artistic Director of 53 Two about last night’s event.

He said: “This is the atmosphere; Last night was a really seminal moment for the arches.

“When we opened, our aim was to be Manchester’s most accessible, busiest & vibrant place to be for everyone.

“We have a wonderful network and friends who support us without question, however, last night was the first time a company as huge as Sky & a programme as influential as Brassic took to the arches.

“The evening was incredible, the entire team were a delight to host and as usual, the 53two staff rose to the occasion.

“Onwards!

“Over the two years we’ve been open we have extended our friendship with brilliant creatives.
“Steve Evets & Tom Hanson, stars of Sky’s Brassic, are just two of those.
“With their help and some gentle persuasion, Sky visited the arches and booked us in.
“It means even more to us that the event was booked through friends, through our network of creatives and through people recommending us as a venue and culture in which to host events; big or small.”

Among the stars in attendance was Bhavna Limbachia, another former Coronation Street actress, who brings her charm to Brassic.

Limbachia wowed the crowd in a red power suit paired with a shiny gold crop top, exemplifying the glamour of the evening.

Bronagh Gallagher and Joanna Higson, who also feature in the series, turned heads in all-black ensembles, adding to the glitz and glamour of the event.

Brassic Christmas Special

Visitors were treated to a sneak peek at an episode from the upcoming series

Excitement reached its peak as it was revealed that a Christmas special of the beloved comedy is reportedly in the works, set to air later this year, promising more laughter and mischief from the Hawley crew.

The celebration not only marked the return of Brassic but also offered a glimpse into the camaraderie that exists among the cast and crew.

Michelle Keegan, who plays Erin, shared behind-the-scenes snapshots from the set as filming for Season 5 came to a close earlier this year.

She described the experience as “chaotic mayhem” and expressed her gratitude for being part of this “special” show.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Keegan wrote, “Wrap on Brassic Season 5!!! Can’t believe how fast these past 6 months have gone, 6 months filled with chaotic mayhem, freezing cold locations, and a whole lot of love & dedication.

“Feel so lucky to be working on such a special show. ✨ Can’t wait for you guys to see what we’ve been up to. Big love as always ❤️.”

As Brassic Season 5 gears up for its release, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Dylan, Erin, and the gang in Hawley.

With a Christmas special on the horizon, it’s safe to say that the laughter and adventures are far from over.

Stay tuned for more uproarious escapades from the iconic manc comedy as it returns to our screens.
