One of the UK’s leading call centres has moved to new offices overlooking the waterfront at the Digital World Centre, MediaCityUK.

You might think that there’s nothing unusual about this – but it’s not your usual call centre. Because RSVP (Media Response) Limited’s MediaCity office will be an exact replica of its London business model which is staffed across the board by professional actors who are employed as agents on the phones.

The company believes their acting training and experience enables them to engage and build a unique rapport with callers from all walks of life.

The agents are offered flexible working hours enabling them to pursue their creative dreams, take time off for auditions or even record self-tapes on the premises. If an offer comes in to tread the boards or grace a film set they can leave at short notice with another agent seamlessly filling their shoes. The unique call centre has been called the only company in the UK which encourages its staff to leave.

The company even has its own in-house theatrical agency, RSVP Artists, which will have an office on the 3rd floor of the building, actively finding their agents work in the performing world.

RSVP Media Response Limited managing director Mark Abernathy said: “MediaCityUK is such a great place for us to be situated in the north. It’s a vibrant and creative environment and it suits us perfectly to be so close to The Lowry Theatre, BBC North, ITV Studios and the Coronation Street set.

“It will be great to have so many casting directors close by and they in turn will have easy access to a pool of actors, should they need to fill last minute castings. This is the perfect location for our actor agents, and also for our business growth.”
