‘awarded best bar in the
Eat Drink Sleep Awards’
Giving recognition to the owners and operators of Manchester’s hospitality industry, he said: “This city has changed in the last 15 years beyond recognition, and these awards celebrate the people who have changed the face of this city.”
Nominated for two awards, ‘Best Bar’ and ‘Best Late Night Venue’, The Liquor Store took home the Chairman’s Choice Award for Best Bar on the evening. With both staff and owners in attendance, they were absolutely thrilled to have been chosen out of the other, more established bars in the category (The Alchemist, El Capo, Cloud 23 and Allotment).
Owner, Doug Waldron comments “It’s a great honour to be awarded best bar in the Eat Drink Sleep Awards, especially being recognised amongst the other venues in the category. As a small, independent venue, everyone involved at The Liquor Store is very proud to have received this prestigious award.”
He also adds some very exciting news; “Following on from the popularity and success of The Liquor Store Manchester, we’re looking forward to launching our second venue in Leeds.”
