The UK’s biggest and best running events will return to the buzzing streets of Manchester on Sunday 22nd May – and you can be part of the action.

Feel the city come alive when the Great Manchester Run comes to town, and soak up the big event experience by choosing your challenge and taking on either the 10k or Half Marathon.

And why not make it a family affair and ensure your budding running stars of the future get their shot at glory, too, in the Junior & Mini event on Saturday 21st May?

Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, participants can enjoy a running route of Manchester with the famous high-energy entertainment zones, unbelievable crowd support, and local musicians providing the soundtrack to your run

The popular Hacienda zone is guaranteed to give you that final boost to the finish line, featuring a massive sound system, disco lights, and even a bubble machine.

With a route that takes in Manchester’s inspiring history and dynamic present, including Bridgewater Hall, Old Trafford and Etihad Stadiums and finishing on bustling Deansgate, the Great Manchester Run is a celebration of running – and covers all the best parts of Manchester.

The greatest reward in taking part is the sense of achievement as you cross the finish line, but a shiny new medal, a snazzy finisher’s t-shirt and a finisher’s bag filled with goodies will await you at the end of the run.

It’s a run for everyone, of all ages and abilities, whether it’s your first 10k or your 50th half marathon.

And there’s still time to join this inclusive celebration of Mancunian running, with music blazing, crowds buzzing, legs pumping and fists bumping.

Celebrate everything that’s incredible about Manchester in 2022 and run your city.
