Winter Wonderland returns to EventCity again from Saturday 10th December – and they’re giving away £50,000 worth of free tickets to local charities.

The UK’s largest indoor Christmas theme park was winner of the Best Family Day Out at the Raring 2 Go Awards 2015,

The mammoth 22,000 sq m exhibition space at EventCity will be transformed into an unbelievable wonderland extravaganza, featuring over 50 family rides and attractions all under one roof – including new rides for 2016 featuring a giant carousel, and all included in one ticket price.

Kingpin Events is giving local charities an early Christmas gift by inviting them to experience the magic of this year’s Winter Wonderland Manchester 2016 entirely free of charge.

The attraction officially opens to the public on Saturday 10 December, but organisers Kingpin Events are hosting a special charity evening on Friday, 9 December. That’s when charities whose work specifically benefits children and their families, disadvantaged young people and bereaved families are invited to apply for tickets.

winterwonderland-300x250Tammy Silcock of Kingpin Events, the organiser of Winter Wonderland said:  “Last year’s charity evening proved a huge success and was very humbling for everyone involved. It was very special and our guests thoroughly enjoyed being the first visitors to enjoy the Winter Wonderland experience. If you are a registered charity and you would benefit from this festive treat then please get in touch.”

The special preview session will take place on Friday, 9 December between 4.30pm and 8.30pm. Organisations must be a registered charity and based in the North West to be considered. The event is fully accessible.

Kelly Willison from Once Upon a Smile, a charity which received 80 tickets last year, said: “It was a magical experience for all. Christmas is a very difficult time for many of our bereaved families and this evening brought some much-needed smiles!”

Email [email protected] to register your interest with details about the charity, registered charity number, logo and the number of tickets you require. Charities will be chosen at random.

The closing date for applications is Friday 18 November and the successful charities will be notified via email by Friday, 25 November.

Don’t miss the Christmas event of the year at EventCity from 10 December 2016 – 1 January 2017.
