Whether you’re partaking in Veganuary or just looking to reduce your meat consumption, there’s no doubt that vegan dishes are soaring in popularity across the city.

Plant based restaurant Vertigo is hoping to help you continue your Veganuary pledge into February, by offering the first 50 people through the door this Saturday a completely free breakfast or brunch.

To coincide with the launch of their new menu, the first 50 diners at the First Street branch on Saturday morning will be able to try a free breakfast dish of their choice.

Breakfast and brunch dishes include pancake stacks with cherry compote and almond butter, or a Vertigo ‘Benedict’ with vegan Bury black pudding, confit tomato, avocado and hollandaise.

For bigger appetites, their staple Vertigo Breakfast now features the Beyond Sausage as well as tofu, beans, mushroom, tomato, hash brown, and toasted Trove sourdough.

Other options include home-baked beans or scrambled tofu on toasted Trove sourdough, or hearty porridge with oats, vanilla, stewed plums, and crunchy maple and pecan granola.

Or, if you are still on a bit of a health kick, you can choose a healthy smoothie bowl instead. The kale and matcha bowl is topped with fresh fruit and chia seeds, or the breakfast berry smoothie bowl is packed with berries, banana, coconut and chia seeds.

This offer is only available at the First Street restaurant, opposite HOME, on Saturday 1st February. It is limited to one breakfast per person and doesn’t include drinks. Doors open at 8am and only the first 50 people will be able to dine for free, after which point normal prices will apply. Brunch is served weekends until 5pm.

Vertigo: Plant Based Eatery, Unit 9 Jack Rosenthal Street, Manchester M15 4RA.
