Having welcomed over eight million visitors in 70 cities around the world, Van Gogh Alive produced by Grande Experiences promises to be one of the highlights of this autumn’s event calendar when it comes to MediaCityUK.

Described as ‘the world’s most visited immersive, multi-sensory experience’, it’s all about the life and work of the seminal Dutch artist.

This is no ordinary art exhibition. Van Gogh’s works have been exhibited and admired for over a century – but never like this.

Following a smash hit run in Kensington Gardens as London’s must-see cultural event of the summer, later this year visitors will be treated to a truly world-class cultural experience in the heart of Greater Manchester’s iconic cultural hub.

The experience explores the life and work of Vincent van Gogh during the period 1880 to 1890.

Guests will be able to venture into the legendary artist’s world with a beautifully curated, stunningly detailed, immersive experience hosted within a spectacular 17,500ftpurpose-built venue in MediaCityUK, Salford.

Prepare to transcend time and space as you accompany Van Gogh on a journey through the Netherlands, Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise, where he created many of his timeless masterpieces.

Huge crystal clear images, so real you want to touch them, illuminate a vast array of screens and surfaces specially tailored to the experience space.

Synchronized to a powerful classical score, more than 3,000 Van Gogh images at enormous scale create a thrilling display that fills giant screens, walls, columns, ceilings and even the floor – immersing you entirely in the vibrant colours and vivid details that constitute Van Gogh’s unique style.

Prepare yourself for a vibrant symphony of light, colour and sound – combined and amplified to create what visitors are calling ‘an unforgettable multi-sensory experience’.

Traditions of tiptoeing through silent galleries and viewing paintings from afar in quiet contemplation are forgotten as visitors find themselves interacting with art in ways they never imagined.

At Van Gogh Alive you don’t just look at his paintings, you step inside them and feel their power.
