The door’s of the premier Caribbean eating and drinking establishment opened to Manchester last May and have been rocking ever since! Turtle Bay is all about rum, reggae and all things jerk and will soon be bringing the party over to the Northern Quarter!
‘…testament to how much
we love Manchester!’
The team behind Turtle Bay introduced Manchester to Caribbean flavour at their original site on Oxford Street 9 months ago and will continue to do so in a new 120 cover restaurant and bar on Oldham St. in the trendy NQ.
Ajith Jayawickrema, Turtle Bay Founder commented, “Our second restaurant is testament to how much we love Manchester! We’re delighted that people seem to really ‘get’ Turtle Bay here. The Northern Quarter is such an exciting community to be part of – we can’t wait to bring Caribbean good times to that side of town”
The team pride themselves in celebrating the life, colour and soul of the Caribbean culture and welcome all to their venue. It is designed to encourage long, lazy lunches as well as high octane parties with plenty of space for everything in between!
The food is truly at the heart of Turtle Bay with explosive flavours and rustic dishes inspired by the cool, laid back Caribbean culture. The menu brings together zesty and spicy flavours in dishes like ‘Cutters’ (inspired by beach shacks and street hawkers of the Caribbean Islands), the Jerk BBQ Pit, ‘One Pots’ (rich, slowly simmered and uniquely Caribbean).
Whilst the menu at the new location will remain similar, boasting all the same favourites we know and love, a whopping £1 million is to be spent on a unique fit out creating the ultimate oasis in the city. It’s friendly, fun and uncomplicated.
Grab a cocktail, sit back and relax. The Caribbean has arrived.
