A huge new winter tipi will drop in Spinningfields next month, complete with three roaring fires, twinkling fairy lights and faux fur throws, a mouth-watering street food menu and limited-edition winter-warmer cocktails.
Set as a seasonal extension of The Oast House, the award-winning bar has revealed an artist’s impression of how its new ‘Curious TeePee’ will look this year in celebration of its 10th anniversary – and we have a feeling it’s going to be a popular hideaway for locals during the colder months.
Set to re-open on Friday 7th October at 5pm, The Curious Teepee has brought the festive spirit to Manchester’s upmarket finance district for the past ten years, becoming something of an institution, but has been completely reimagined for 2022 – boasting three tents joined together with a huge open hub, allowing guests to see into the main bar and soak up the party atmosphere.
Famed for its all-week-long live music, house-cooked food and laid-back warm and welcoming atmosphere, The Oast House’s snug retreat promises to keep the spirit of the venue alive Monday-Sunday throughout the winter.
Introducing brand-new seasonal drinking, dining and partying destination to the city, the stunning outdoor terrace on Wood Street is set to become an urban utopia of firepits and live music alongside winter cocktails, hot chocolate, mulled wine and tempting street food, just in time for the chilly weather.
A huge launch party for The Curious TeePee will take place on Friday 7th October from 5pm to mark the opening of the space, with live musicians and DJs playing throughout the evening. It’s free to attend on a walk-in basis so we recommend getting there early for after-work celebrations to avoid queues…
Inside the new lodge, guests can expect to dine on some seriously good grub from the venue’s new menu including Loaded Pies (yes, you read that right) filled with either Chicken Madras and topped with pilau mash, onion bhaji, mint raita, mango chutney and toasted almonds, Steak and Ale which comes topped with roast mushroom, roast tomato, onion ring and peppercorn sauce or Pulled Pork and Apple, with wholegrain mustard mash, Henderson’s gravy, piccalilli and a Bury black pudding scotch egg piled up on top.
Yorkshire Pudding Wraps will also be coming to the winter social hub, filled with a choice of tender chicken, beef or vegetarian meatballs with hot stuffing, triple-cooked potatoes, roasted vegetables and homemade gravy. Another menu newcomer is the buffalo chicken macaroni cheese topped with crispy chicken fillets, tossed in Frank’s hot sauce and served with a blue cheese dressing.
A selection of show-stopping seasonal cocktails and festive tipples will also be on offer to wash it all down.
The Oast House and The Curious TeePee are open every day from 12pm until late throughout the winter months and will continue hosting a packed roster of live musicians covering a range of genres from pop to rock to funk and soul, turning up the dial a notch for the festive period.
The heated venue is open for walk-ins, but you can also book a limited number of tables each day via The Oast House’s website and areas can be booked out for Christmas parties and gatherings.
