It seems that Dry January is on its way out – and we can’t say we’re sad to see it go. After all, why bother with temporary abstinence when you can indulge in Ginuary instead?

The Dry January alternative has become increasingly popular since the craft gin revolution took off, and shows no sign of letting up yet.

To celebrate, this weekend swanky Spinningfields restaurant 20 Stories will be doing their bit for Manchester’s gin lovers with a five course celebration of the juniper-laced spirit.

They’ve teamed up with Thomas Dakin gin for the occasion: a premium London Dry currently made in Warrington but soon to be produced right here in the city, pending the completion of the distillery’s new home on Peter Street.

Each course for Friday’s dinner has been designed with the gin’s botanicals in mind, and will come with a complimentary cocktail.

You’ll start the night with a welcome drink, before moving into the restaurant’s stunning private room to be ginned and dined by Thomas Dakin’s Global Brand Ambassador.

During dinner, you’ll be treated to an intimate session with the Global Brand Ambassador from Thomas Dakin, as well as flavour-pairing explanations from the 20 Stories bar team, who will guide you through the evening’s food and drink pairings.

And to finish the evening off, each guest will be handed a Thomas Dakin gift bag as a memento to enjoy at home.

Taking place at 6.30pm on Friday 17th January, tickets are priced at £70pp and include six drinks, five courses, invaluable knowledge – and unbeatable views across Manchester.
