An enchanted children’s library escape room game is coming to Manchester

A new family-friendly escape room is coming soon to Z-arts

Manchester’s arts centre for young people is opening a family escape room on 1 April.

‘The Library of Enchantment’ at Z-arts Children’s Library promises to be ‘a fun-filled thrilling’ family-friendly escape room, full of seafaring adventures, time travelling tricks and a pesky old bookworm who’s always up to meddlesome mischief!

Children will be challenged to solve puzzles and work as a team to make their escape…

This immersive experience requires puzzling skills, logic, persistence and, most of all, teamwork to figure out lots of clues, riddles and puzzles within a 60-minute time limit.

Located within a welcoming family-friendly arts and theatre hub, your children will be supported by a specially trained host, who’ll be able to give out some hints and tips along the way if needed.

They’ll have one hour to escape by solving the various riddles, puzzles and challenges The Library of Enchantment has to offer. But be quick or you may just get trapped amongst the pages forever!

Can you help capture ‘Billi the Bookworm’ and put the chaos right before the Library Inspector arrives within the hour?

Designed especially for children aged 8+ and up to eight kids per adventure, The Library of Enchantment is ideal for birthdays, special occasions, or just for fun! Escape room aficionados and grown-ups welcome on their own too.

With discounted prices available during the week, Z-arts’ new escape room is open Tuesdays to Saturdays. Free three-hour street parking is available nearby.

Parents can grab a coffee and cake in the relaxing café.

Children aged 5+ can take part if part of a family group. Discounted prices are available Tuesday – ThursdayIf you have any access requirements, please ensure you contact the Box Office to learn how the escape room can be adapted to suit your needs. You can call the friendly team on 0161 226 1912 or email [email protected]
