Avoid the grim winter weather this Valentine’s Day by taking your date to Manchester’s iconic Great Northern Warehouse to make the most of the romantic holiday, all under one roof.

And whether you’re single, engaged, or were planning a hot date with a microwave meal for one next week, there is something for everyone so you needn’t look any further.

If you’re single, Whistle Punks Axe Throwing have got you covered. For one night only they’re running a special speed dating event which will see guests go up against fellow thrill seekers with an axe to grind, as you peacock your best axe throwing techniques in the hopes of landing a date alongside that bullseye.

This one of a kind, unique dating experience includes a 90-minute session, two drinks and an epic chocolate axe gift box – all for £35 per person.

But don’t worry if you’ve already got yourself a date for the romantic holiday, as Whistle Punks are also throwing a Valentine’s Double Bullseye so you couples don’t miss out on the axe throwing fun.

Flex your biceps as you send those axes flying through the air like Cupid’s arrow – just make sure you hit the target, or it might get a bit messy!

Costing £60 per couple – because when you’re in a couple everything becomes cheaper – you get a 90-minute session, two free drinks and some classic delicious chocolate to share.

If you’re a lover not a fighter and axe throwing isn’t really your thing, then you can also impress your other half by showing off your bowling abilities at retro bowling hub All Star Lanes.

Get competitive and find out who really wears the pants in your relationship.

From 6th – 26th February you can enjoy a full game of bowling, a romantic two course meal and a Valentine’s Day Candy Kiss cocktail to get you in the mood – mixing candy floss, prosecco and pinkster gin – for just £30 per person.

Admittedly, we aren’t all creatures of great skill when it comes to sporting abilities – so for those of you that would rather avoid the embarrassment and leave the sporting activities to the professionals, why not take your loved one for a stunning sit-down meal at Polish restaurant Platzki.

Tuck in to two courses for £26 or three courses for £29, which includes mouth-watering roasted pork carpaccio as well as the finest steaks and an unrivalled cheese board.

And of course, Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be the same without chocolates!

End the night on a high by surprising your beloved with some jaw-dropping chocolatey delights from chocolatiers Dormouse Chocolates.

Boasting a huge selection of tasty treats, the unique chocolatiers have created some drool worthy heart-shaped chocolates including an intricate anatomical heart for £8 and a stunning geometric heart for £6.
