We have taken some responsibility for how our garments are made and invested in sustainable products. Becasue we’re conscious of how a high volume of products posted around the world may permanently leave a mark on the planet.
Why sustainable products?
Every year 100 billion new items of clothing are produced while a truck full of clothing and other non-recyclable waste is burned, or buried in a landfill every second. That’s why we’ve invested in ethically sourced organic and vegan products and we’re always looking to improve our sustainable options.
Organic cotton, compared to non-organic cotton, is the far superior choice. Some of the benefits are: it’s environmentally friendly, it uses less water to produce and is free from pesticides.
A pure organic material makes remanufacturing possible, and means products that are softer, and not harmful to the environment.

Printing Method
Direct to Garment technology has revolutionised textile printing. It’s built on the back of the inkjet method, but we’re not using standard inks and paper. We’re printing designs onto textile with results that last the lifetime of the garment.
Our factory uses Kornit DTG printers. The industry leading machines use water based eco-friendly inks that are vegan friendly and not tested on animals. In fact their sustainability policy is big on eco.
Packaging
Most orders up to a certain size will ship in either a small, medium or large paper mailers. These mailers are bespoke, manufactured specifically for use for I Love MCR orders.
Clothing items such as I Love MCR t-shirts and hoodies are folded neatly into these bags. To save on packing materials and reduce waste, we do not pack items into individual bags before they are shipped in these mailers.
Our paper postal mailing bags are manufactured from responsible, sustainable sources to comply with FSC certification. The paper is both compostable and degradable, and paper mailers can be easily recycled, making this an extremely eco-friendly option. The weather-proof parcel protects its contents during transit.
It is a key focus of ours to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact over the next year, and we’re always open to new ideas so feel free to get in touch with one of the team if you’d like some more information.
Social responsibility
Our social responsibility is also important to us. So, since November 2018, we and our supply chain committed to donating any faulty clothing to be donated to charities within our local community.
This initiative reduces waste but also makes a difference in our local area and helps those who need it most.
