As well as making top-notch beer, the ShinDigger boys have a gift for throwing parties.
Duo George Grant and Paul Delamere first started selling their home-brewed beer at house parties in 2014 and have gone on to garner national acclaim – partially as a result of their delicious beer, and partially due to their canny knack for self-promotion.
The duo kicked off their first ShinDigger Sessions event back in August 2016 with an all-day block party in the Green Quarter that saw over 500 people show up to drink and bop along to musical stylings provided by local station Reform Radio.
Since this, they’ve gone on to deliver a host of successful events, collaborating with other local creatives to promote up-and-coming homegrown talents – most recently at their Made in the 0161 events, held at the tail end of last year showcasing talents including [KSR], Abnormal Sleepz and A Broken Camarilla amongst others.
Now, as part of their continuing series of Shindigger events, the boys are back and have a big summer block party planned for July 7th. Teaming up with friends Manchester Three Rivers, RedbankCo and Reform Radio, next month’s block party looks set to be their biggest shindig yet (excuse the pun).
Next month sees them throw down a Green Quarter block party stretching across the friends’ three archways and backyard space at Redbank. This includes access to Manchester Three Rivers iconic city centre distillery.
The gang will be hosting a day of great drinks, food and music along with a few surprises, installations, free giveaways and good vibes all around.
There’ll be four bars serving up a mixture of premium Manchester booze. ShinDigger will be hosting a keg and can bar with a summery variety of pale ales, IPAs and more on offer. There may even be a few new fruity surprises in there too.
Manchester Three Rivers will be doing what they do best: serving up all things gin from stellar perfect serve G&Ts to classic gin cocktails. RedBankCo will be taking on quality cocktails, wine and cider as well as serving up wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and poutine a-plenty.
Reform Radio will be bringing a line-up of six different selectors soundtracking a journey from day-drinking downtown to leg-shaking at sundown. Expect a mixture of funk & soul, garage, disco, bass sets from Better Days, Battlestar Mancunia, Par Avion, Ailsa McLaggan and Enyman.
The party starts at 3pm on Saturday July 7th and runs until late. Early birds have already sold out but you can still pick up a standard entry ticket for £7 if you hurry.
