Selfridges at intu Trafford Centre is currently undergoing a transformation of its beauty hall. It’s on a mission to trump every other beauty hall outside London, with plans to stock more than 25,000 products, 3,000 shades of lipstick and 1,500 shades of foundation on completion.
Back in May, the first phase was unveiled as top names and exclusive brands like Anastasia Beverley Hills and Huda Beauty moved in with new, permanent counters. Much-loved brand counters including Mac, Nars and Giorgio Armani were also expanded to offer customers an increased selection.
Now the second phase is open, welcoming luxury cosmetics brand Hourglass plus brand new counters from Charlotte Tilbury, IT Cosmetics, Jo Malone, Kiehl’s, La Mer, Lance, La Prairie, Tom Ford, Clarins, Clinique and Estee Lauder.
Selfridges also hosts the first Maison Christian Dior pavilion in the north west, offering a unique, boutique shopping experience centred around the pleasure of perfume.
This pop-up features elegant white marble and polished concrete and offers a number of services including engraving, one-to-one fragrance consultations with the brand’s national fragrance ambassador, and a miniature gift with every purchase.
When it’s completed next month, the new beauty hall will house a total of 170 brands, 80 of which will be new and five of which are exclusive to the brand in the UK. Shoppers will also have access to a new range of personal shopping and unique services.
