Stretford Mall is welcoming back the spooktacular scarecrow trail in all its ghoulish glory from Monday 25th October, as a frightful new gang of scarecrows adorn the whole of the Mall.
Retailers, cafes and restaurants from the Mall have stepped things up a gear for 2021 and created their own spookiest ever scarecrows that will be popping up outside their venues for families to spot in the build up to Halloween.
Those taking part in the spine-chilling scarecrow trail this year include Stretford Foodhalls, The Hive, Specsavers, Play Cafe, Aldi, Costa Coffee, and many more.
Shoppers can collect a specially designed Scarecrow Trail map from participating retailers in exchange for a donation to Stretford Foodbank and then tour the Mall searching for scary Scarecrows while they shop or dine too.
All the scarecrows have been named by the retailers who have created them – scarecrow spotters simply need to fill in the name of all the Scarecrows as they find them.
Once they’ve got a ‘Scarecrow full house’ they can post their trail map into the Halloween Post Box to be in with a chance of winning a range of fantastic prizes from the Mall.
“Last year’s Stretford Scarecrows were a scary and eccentric bunch (who could forget “Stretty Kruger!”) and we had hundreds of completed trail maps from our intrepid Scarecrow Spotters in the community,” said Stretford Mall manager Gareth Wilkins.
“This year we expect an even bigger, spookier and zanier collection of Scarecrows and we can’t wait to welcome our customers into the Mall this Halloween to find them.”
The Scarecrow Trail will run from Monday 25th to Sunday 31st October and the winner will be drawn on 31st October and notified on the day.
Scarecrow spotters can pick up a free trail map at any of the participating retailers or at the central Love Coffee unit where the Halloween postbox and the mall’s own scarecrow will be located. Stretford Foodbank donations can be dropped here too.
