How do you like your steak? Now you’re the one in control in a whole new of grilling experience at Rosso Restaurant.

“The trick is to move your cut onto a side plate, and re-apply cut offs to the hot stone…”

With their brand new steak stones, you’re the chef. Pre-heated to temperatures soaring over 200°c, your chosen cut will emerge on a lava stone ready to be cooked in front of you, to however you like.

The trick (if you can call it that) is to move your cut onto a side plate, and re-apply cut offs to the hot stone to cook before each mouthful. If, like us, you like yours rare or medium rare, you won’t want your thick slab of meat lay on the lava stone the whole sitting – your last bite will be well and truly done.

Presented on a hot stone, you can choose from:

Filetto Manzo (£26.95 or £50 sharing plate) which is prime fillet of English beef, served with pots of crushed peppercorn sauce, glazed balsamic onions and béarnaise sauce.

Corona Di Agnello (£19.95) which is tender lamb cutlets, served with pots of fresh mint jus, juniper and redcurrant jelly & rosemary scented olive oil.

Tonno Alla Rosso (£18.95) which is prime tuna loin, served with pots of chilli and cherry tomato jam.

All hot stone dishes are served with vine ripened tomatoes, sautéed wild mushrooms, proper hand cut chips and crisp mixed salad.

Rossorestaurant Five At Five Cocktails

Also, to wash it down, take advantage of Rosso’s ‘Five at Five’ deal. Basically, choose from five different cocktails from 5pm for £5. Give the barman a high five.

SO, go in after work, sit at the bar, order a grill and a cocktail – it’ll cost you about £30. You can’t grumble.

And it’s a subtle nod to Manchester United.
