Primark will soon be opening a new store at intu Trafford Centre, the 190th branch for the UK retailer.

The new store will open on 20th March 2020, creating 300 new jobs in the process.

When it opens, the new Primark will showcase two floors of fashion over 64,800 square ft of retail space and, say the store, will be home to “a number of exciting experiences” as well.

Customers will be able to shop the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, footwear, accessories, lingerie and homeware, along with Primark’s certified cruelty-free Leaping Bunny PS…Beauty range.

Primark’s latest range of sustainable denim, nightwear, and bedding, all made from 100% sustainable cotton, will also be available.

The new opening comes hot on the heels of news that cult Manchester burger and milkshake bar Archie’s will also be opening a new branch at intu Trafford centre this Spring.

The new 250-seat site will house a ball pit and swings inside a pink room as well as the chain’s signature comfy booths. It will take over the former La Tasca unit in the centre’s Orient food quarter this Spring.

And soon it will be easier to get to, too. Trams on the brand new £350m Trafford Park Line should start running from April, subject to final testing and driver training.

The new line will have six new tram stops, offering sustainable transport links to some of Greater Manchester’s busiest visitor destinations including Old Trafford Football stadium, Imperial War Museum North, EventCity and intu Trafford Centre. it will start to run months before work was originally expected to finish.

“We are delighted to be opening our new store in the redeveloped Barton Square at intu Trafford Centre,” said Kari Rodgers, Primark’s director of sales in the North.

“We are looking forward to extending our offering of amazing fashion at amazing prices along with exciting in-store experiences to the people of Manchester and the surrounding areas.”
