South American dining concept Peru Perdu, based in the beautiful Whitworth Locke, has announced a host of festive activities, including a brand new private dining experience, PAMPAS.

Diners can expect festive specials, Veuve Clicquot festive drag brunch, a furry friends Sunday Christmas dinner – and the UK’s first ever mince pie empanada.

PAMPAS takes place in the brand-new Private Dining Room at Peru Perdu, a decadent pink room adjacent to the main restaurant, complete with a long beautifully set dining table, suitable for up to 14 guests.

It makes a memorable space for gatherings of friends, family or colleagues – with dogs welcome, too.

The menu features a host of Peruvian and Uruguayan inspired dishes and sharing supercut steaks, accompanied by cocktails, a great wine list and wine flight options.

Dishes include a ceviche sampler of tender tuna, salmon and sea bass and signature tiger milk fried chicken as well as a hearty selection of Uruguayan wet aged steaks from picanha rump cap to ribeye medallion.

A superb plant-based option is the potato pie served with heady black truffle gravy and greens, or the crisp, fragrant green papaya salad with mango, cashews, chilli and mint, simply buzzing with flavour.

When it comes to wines, be sure to try Cabernet Franc – the next big thing in Argentina, insist Peru Perdu. Certain winemaking regions of Argentina are now replanting their crops of Malbec with Cabernet Franc (Cab Franc if you’re short of time) in preparation for the international explosion which is sure to occur in the next four to five years – and it’s a great option with steak.

Alongside PAMPAS, Peru Perdu also has a host of festive additions on the menu including the UK’s first ever mince pie empanada, crisp little golden packages stuffed with sweet spiced filling, served with cream for dipping.

From 1st December, the restaurant will be opening Tuesday- Sunday during the day, providing the perfect location to enjoy a Christmas lunch.

For large bookings, Peru Perdu will offer a Christmas feasting menu showcasing the best of the menu, priced £85 per person including paired wines, or a set two course menu at £30 per person or three courses for £35 per person.

The perfect chance to have some festive fun, the Veuve Clicquot Drag Brunch returns on Saturday 18th December, 12pm – 4pm, a full on Christmas-themed affair with live DJ.

Enjoy a tasty two-course set menu, plus a glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival priced at £35 per person.

Making sure furry friends are included in the fun, every Sunday Peru Perdu will also host a Doggy Christmas Dinner.

Whilst owners enjoy the finest South American inspired roast, furry friends can enjoy a free dog Sunday roast and bone gravy, available when two or more guests are dining.

Then on Sunday 19th December, Peru Perdu will host the ‘Best Dressed Christmas Pooch’ competition.

Three lucky winners will be decided across the day, with owners receiving their lunch or dinner on the house.

Alongside live DJs every Saturday evening creating the ultimate party atmosphere, Peru Perdu will also be doing their own take on an advent calendar.

Every day in the run up to Christmas, there will be an offer on a different wine, available at a discounted shop price.

Guests can choose to sit in and enjoy or to take away and have in front of the fire at home.

Peru Perdu is at Whitworth Locke, 74 Princess St, M1 6JD. To book The Private Dining Room, email [email protected] or call 0161 549 0005.
