The new no-frills easyHotel offers 115 simple, stylish ensuite rooms furnished in the brand’s new look format with splashes of its trademark orange.
The Grade 2 listed building on Dale Street has been sympathetically redeveloped and retains many original features.
The hotel offers low prices with the option to pay for extras such as coffee, spare towels, housekeeping, and internet. Rooms start from as little as £19.99 a night but, as you might expect from the people who brought you easyJet, the price you pay varies according to demand and how far in advance you book.
It’s the group’s latest new look hotel and follows recent openings in Brussels, Amsterdam Arena and Birmingham, which opened earlier this year.
“Manchester is a major cultural and commercial centre and the perfect location for our latest hotel and we’re delighted to be here,” said easyHotel CEO Guy Parsons.
“Our new hotel offers a combination of comfort and style without the fancy and unnecessary trappings of so-called luxury hotels. It is a formula that is working, enabling us to offer our customers a super room at a super price.”
The hotel promises comfort and a great night’s sleep. So if all you’re after is a clean bed and you’re willing to forego little luxuries like a jacuzzi, rooftop spa pool and fluffy bathrobes, this might be the one for you.
But good luck. We tried booking a weekend room without success, so clearly word has already got round.
