King Street Townhouse, the latest addition to the impressive Eclectic Hotels collection, celebrated its opening with a star-studded launch party on Friday.
Run by husband and wife team, Eamonn and Sally O’Loughlin, Manchester’s newest and most exclusive venue is housed in a magnificent Italian Renaissance-style building designed in 1872 by local architect Edward Salomons for the Manchester Salford Trustees Bank.
The building has been sensitively renovated with the finest quality fittings and furnishings to set the standard for luxury, personality and craftsmanship in Manchester city centre, and become the go-to location for leisure, business, weddings and events.
Co-owner and interior designer Sally commented: “The hotel boasts the same understated luxury as our other properties but has its own distinctive and charming character. Finishing touches in the bedrooms include handmade South African linen and bespoke artwork.”
Guests can choose from five different room types, each with its own unique character and amenities, and can dine at The King Street Tavern, a stylish yet relaxed bar and restaurant with a high quality menu to suit every occasion.
The pièce de résistance is the spectacular rooftop infinity spa pool, for the exclusive use of hotel residents, and the south facing roof terrace, a perfect event space available for private hire.
Media guests and VIPs were invited to experience all the unique features that the Grade ll listed building has to offer, and were shown around the hotel before heading up to the roof lounge for canapés and champagne.
Surrounded by unrivalled panoramic views of Manchester city centre, guests were entertained by DJ and sax duo ‘Leo & Jesus’ and used the photobooth to capture their memories from the night.
Eamonn said: “It’s fantastic to see our vision for King Street Townhouse come to life and especially to have so many familiar faces at the launch party experiencing it for themselves. The hotel has been an instant hit with everyone who’s seen it so far, and we’re excited to welcome guests for business, leisure and events in the weeks to come.”
Bedrooms are now on sale and there will be 25% off all bookings in January 2015.
King Street Townhouse is part of the Eclectic Hotels group which includes Great John Street, Didsbury House Hotel, Eleven Didsbury Park and On the 7th members’ Club at MediaCityUK.
