Mr Cooper’s launched four years ago, named after an iconic Manchester figure known for being a unique and imaginative character.

Now the vision has been modified for the modern customer.

The modern Mr Cooper’s is taking a more free-thinking approach in terms of its look, its eclectic musical choices, its menu and its approach to customer service.

New intimate areas allow customers to choose their own levels of privacy whilst keeping the overall open plan feel and the iconic tree that sits elegantly in the dining space.

“Restaurants and bars connected to hotels can sometimes feel mass produced and we wanted to be more original with Mr Cooper’s and make it part of the daily life of the city,” says Mr Cooper’s general manager for Simon Farr.

“A place to meet for coffee, to enjoy a relaxed lunch or an after-work drink. Simply put, a buzzy place to enjoy food however and whenever people want. We have taken a nonconformist approach to marketing too by building on the character of the real Mr Cooper with his passions for music and travel.”

If you’re a fan of good food done well then look no further.

Mr Cooper’s believes in good food cooked with flair and imagination. The reimagined restaurant is serving technical perfection with minimal fuss.

A new menu has just launched which encompasses the modern dining experience with a delicious array of dishes to be enjoyed whenever and however you like.

The imaginative all-day menu is clever in its simplicity and includes dishes like cauliflower and cumin fritters which are a glorious mix of flavour, texture and tang and the magically moreish gin cured salmon and buttermilk tiger prawns.

It features quirky, imaginative plates inspired by the story of Mr Cooper using home-grown, seasonal favourites. The food is fresh and without fuss, designed to be shared and enjoyed all day in a relaxed setting.

Mr Cooper’s passion is to create food that becomes the conversation. Bringing together friends and family to enjoy each other’s company whilst experiencing flavours from places afar brought back to Manchester to delight the senses. Cumin, chili oil, coconut and thyme bring alive the simple cuisine.

Staff at the 150-seater bar and restaurant are a professional and handsome bunch who pride themselves on their extensive knowledge of each and every dish.

“It is important that Mr Cooper’s continually evolves and changes as customer needs and habits change. We are not trying too hard to be fashionable. We are simply an original in a modern city,” says Simon.
