According to an Italian proverb, “If you have an easy-going and relaxed approach to life, you’ll live more healthily and longer”. This is the approach at Vapiano to, well, everything – from the kind of experience they want to create for their guests, to the attitude they encourage in their employees.
The restaurant’s informal setting oozes a relaxed Mediterranean charm. Everything is prepared in-house fresh using the finest ingredients at Vapiano, from their pizza dough to their sauces, dressings and pesto.
This relaxed and authentic Italian eatery in the Corn Exchange offers up a rather novel way of ordering and dining.
First, you receive a chip card on arrival, which you then use to register your order directly with Vapiano’s chefs. Head to their fresh pizza, pasta and salad stations depending on what delights tickle your fancy at the time.
With 11 shapes of handmade, fresh pasta and 20 dishes available in total, Vapiano is great for those with intolerances or for fussy eaters, and there are plenty of vegan, veggie and halal options on offer, too. When you order with your chef, you can customize your meal exactly as you like it and even hang around to watch them prepare it in front of you – if you so desire, that is.
There is a herb garden in the restaurant, as well as fresh herbs on the tables – not just for decoration, but to offer a special and authentic flavour to your dish. Simply pick your own herbs and garnish to your taste once you’ve collected your food from your chef.
With a fully-stocked bar and 2-4-1 happy hours on selected cocktails Mon-Fri between 4pm and 7pm, it’s a great spot for hosting your next shindig.
The downstairs area seats up to 45 and has its own bar for hire for events, meetings and semi-private dinners. What’s more, it’s available to book for free – and there’s a large outdoor seated terrace there to be enjoyed on sunny days, too.
With prices starting at £6.99, everyone should be able to find something to suit their tastes without breaking the bank at Vapiano. Fantastico!
