In a thrilling announcement for music lovers in Manchester, two of the United Kingdom’s most influential and iconic bands, Manic Street Preachers and Suede, are gearing up for a colossal co-headline tour set to electrify summer 2024.

The tour will kick off in Llangollen, Wales, on June 28th and will traverse some of the most renowned outdoor venues in the UK and Ireland, including a highly anticipated stop at Manchester’s very own Castlefield Bowl, before culminating in a grand finale at London’s Alexandra Palace Park on July 18th.

Manic Street Preachers

Hailing from Wales, Manic Street Preachers have etched their name into the annals of rock history with a remarkable legacy.

With 14 studio albums under their belt and headlining prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, V Festival, and Reading & Leeds, they are nothing short of a rock phenomenon.

The band has been showered with accolades, boasting eleven NME Awards, eight Q Awards, and four BRIT Awards, along with nominations for the Mercury Prize and MTV Europe Music Awards.

The Manics are currently hard at work on their 15th studio album, the eagerly awaited follow-up to ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament,’ which soared to the top of the UK charts upon its release in September 2021.

Their recent acclaimed performances at the Isle of Wight and Glastonbury festivals this summer have only fuelled the excitement surrounding their upcoming tour.

Meanwhile, Suede has been riding a wave of success with their ninth studio album, ‘Autofiction.’ D

ebuting at an impressive #2 on the UK Albums Chart, this release marked their highest chart position since 1999’s ‘Head Music.’ Praised by fans and critics alike, ‘Autofiction’ is seen as a career zenith for the band.

In 2023, Suede celebrated ‘Suede30,’ a poignant reminder of how their debut album, released three decades ago, reshaped British music.

The eponymous debut stormed to #1 on the UK Album Charts, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week, winning the coveted Mercury Music Prize, and becoming the fastest-selling debut album in the UK at that time.

Both bands have recently wrapped up a sold-out 2022 US tour, earning widespread acclaim from the media and fans alike.

Spin Magazine celebrated their return as “joyous,” Riff Magazine noted their “unstoppable energy,” and Under The Radar declared the performances “excellent.”

They are now gearing up for several dates in Asia together, including stops in Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan.

This co-headline tour promises fans a unique opportunity to witness the legendary live performances of both Manic Street Preachers and Suede, with each act taking turns to close the concerts.
