Manchester pop-up pioneers Heart Soul Rock & Roll last night opened the doors to their latest bar concept, The Ski Club, at Canvas, on the first floor Quay House in Spinningfields, accessed via a bespoke outdoor stairway.

“The Ski Club captures the mood of the festive season in a stylish and original way.”

Hundreds of guests turned out for the launch of the exclusive alpine retreat including Shameless star Ciaran Griffiths, Hollyoaks’ Andrew Moss and Jessica Forrest, plus legendary Corrie baddy Andrew Lancel, and his Epstein co-star Will Finlason.

Guest sampled the unique winter cocktail list including the signature Tiffany and Coco, the St Morritz Spritz, the Fizz a l’orange and the show stopping Brandy Blazer, a flaming cocktail made with a variety of brandies and spice. Food was provided by innovative food connoisseurs #22 Redbank including the warming blend of Gruyere and Emmental fondue served in a hot cauldron with toasted bread and Bratwurst, exquisite canapés and a whole suckling pig roasted to crispy perfection.

Chris Legh, managing partner of Heart Soul Rock & Roll, comments: “The Ski Club captures the mood of the festive season in a stylish and original way. Last night was a huge success and just a taster of things to come. Huge thanks from us all to everyone that came down to kick off the winter season.”

The Ski Club is open daily from midday to midnight Sunday to Thursday, closing at 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Winter event packages are available for groups from 10-100.
