Black Dog NWS unveils new private members’ ballroom complete with karaoke booth.

NEW YORK style hang-out Black Dog Ballroom, situated on New Wakefield Street, is set to open a private members’ pin-code protected Ballroom on Friday the 27 September.

The Ballroom, which will be complete with its own personal Karaoke booth and pool table, will be the finishing touch to the venue which opened in May 2012.

The speakeasy, diner, pool room, roof terrace, BBQ and basement nightclub, furnished with luxurious seating and wood floors plus the fantastic cityscape artwork created by local artist Neil Dimelow, has brought a real slice of NYC to the burgeoning Oxford Road Corner area of Manchester.

The new Ballroom, just like its Northern Quarter counterpart, will be open to members Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm right through to 4am. Accessible from the street outside through a pin-code protected door, the room will be a haven for regulars to escape the venue’s busy main bars on busy weekend evenings. The room will be available for hire to members and non-members alike for events or parties.

Adding to the irresistible charm of the bar is the new Karaoke Booth, which will be available for hire by the hour. Holding a maximum of fifteen people and fitted with a state of the art sound system, it will be perfect for belting out classics after sampling cocktails from the private bar.

Black Dog NWS also features a basement nightclub, Underdog, which brings the hottest of DJs to Manchester, most recently Scratch Perverts on August bank holiday Sunday. Additionally, the top floor features a roof top terrace, with a permanent BBQ serving up a range of New- York style hamburgers and kebabs.
