We went down to see what the iconic Manchester shopping centre, Manchester Arndale had to offer.
First up was a Manchester favourite, Archie’s.
Archie’s: Manchester’s Beloved Burger Haven
Kicking off our gastronomic adventure was none other than Archie’s – a name synonymous with mouthwatering indulgence.
Our choice?
The LA burger – a juicy burst of flavour, boasting twin beef patties, caramelised onions, cheese, and their top-secret sauce.
Freshness and inspiration combined to create an instant classic – you don’t want to miss this.

PizzaLuxe: an Italian Pizza Dream
Next on our tour, we ventured into the PizzaLuxe.
The promise of 13” thin-crust pizzas, crafted from their unique 96-hour slow-proven sourdough, lured us in.
Our pick?
The prosciutto, adorned with prosciutto crudo, gorgonzola, rocket, and parmesan shavings.
The dough was tantalisingly thin, and the range of pizzas is incredible.

Doner Shack beckoned us with the allure of Berlin’s world-renowned kebab scene.

And let’s not forget the milkshakes – a sweet symphony that satisfied our cravings and could well have stolen the show from the sumptuous doner meat on offer.

Kokoro: Asian Fusion at its Finest
Kokoro offers a variety of Asian-inspired fast-casual cuisine, primarily focusing on Japanese and East Asian flavours.
Their menu includes a diverse range of options such as sushi, bento boxes, rice and noodle dishes, and other traditional and fusion choices.
They use fresh ingredients to create flavourful combinations that cater to a wide range of preferences, including meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans.

YO! Sushi
Established in 1997, YO! Sushi has mastered the art of combining innovation, taste, and interaction to create a dining haven that’s become a sensation.

Slim Chickens: A Louisiana Fried Delight
Slim Chickens had us savouring the flavours of Louisiana with their irresistible fried chicken.
Beautiful buttermilk chicken, soaked and sumptuous is the order of the day at Slim Chickens.
You can jazz up your order with an incredible selection of homemade sauces to tickle even the most discerning of tastebuds.
And what’s a fried chicken feast without a naughty-but-nice milkshake?
With any milkshake priced at just £3 or a ‘Chicks’ 3-piece tender meal for £6.95, Slim Chickens indulged us with that fried chicken goodness without breaking the bank.
Churros Locos: Latin Dessert Oasis
Churros Locos Freshly Made is a family-owned business that brings a taste of Latin desserts to the UK!
The Churros are cooked in front of you then coated with either sugar or cinnamon sugar and served alongside a range of 10 different dipping sauces such as strawberries, dulce de leche and 4 types of chocolate.
They also offer a selection of 16 handmade artisan gelatos that come in classic flavours such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry but also pistachio and passionfruit cheesecake.
To top it off, they serve seven different bean-to-cup coffees and the best chai latte and luxury hot chocolate in town!

Boost: An Aussie Burst of Freshness
Boost Juice is an Aussie-inspired, Manchester-founded chain of juice bars that specialises in offering a wide variety of freshly blended fruit smoothies and juices.
The company was founded in 2000 by Janine Allis and her husband Jeff Allis who are from Adelaide in Australia.
Moving to Manchester to launch the company, Boost Juice has since grown to become one of the largest and most recognised juice bar chains globally, with locations in multiple countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and many more.
And trying out the All Berry Bang, it’s easy to see why.
Strawberry Yoghurt, Strawberries, Apple Juice, Raspberries, Blackcurrant & Ice all come together for a refreshing burst of fruity wonder.
It was a great way to round off our journey around the world.

Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme is the iconic doughnut brand.
The company was founded by Vernon Rudolph in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA.
The story goes that Vernon Rudolph purchased a secret doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French chef.
He then began making these doughnuts in a rented building in Winston-Salem.
Rudolph’s doughnuts were known for their light and fluffy texture, and he used a unique yeast-raised doughnut recipe that set them apart from other doughnuts available at the time.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
As part of the food festival, you can get 10% off any size box of doughnuts to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings.
