About the charity
WeMindTheGap is a social mobility charity that operates across the North West and North Wales. Since 2014, we have been giving new opportunities in life and work to young people who deserve better. We fill any gaps in their lives with unashamed love, support and care.
We have three programmes:
WeDiscover – A three-month, virtual programme for 16-18 year olds. A chance to gain new skills and experiences and with the support of a mentor, build a plan for a bright future.
WeGrow – A 12-month, life-changing programme for 18+ year olds including six-months’ paid employment, work placements, coaching and mentoring sessions, activity days and experiences.
WeBelong - The young people on our programme refer to themselves as ‘gappies’. All gappies stay part of the WeMindTheGap family, by becoming a part of our WeBelong programme. We offer lifelong support and a safe and trusted person to talk to – whether that’s help with careers, housing, money, wellbeing or relationships.
The result? 100% of our young people report that they now feel more comfortable and in control of their own lives. 70% of our graduates go onto paid employment or volunteering.

FUNDRAISE - Help us to bring our life-changing programmes to more under-served young people. As a charity, we rely on the support of our fantastic communities to help us raise life-changing funds. We’ve got plans to bring our programmes to more communities, and to reach more young people, and we need your help. Every pound and penny raised will help us to provide a future for a young person that they never believed was possible – giving them real choices in their life and career.

EMPLOYER PARTNER - Our employer partners are vital to the success of our programmes. Wherever we work we find community-minded employer partners who want to make an impact on their own doorsteps, and who become vital parts of the village that we create to support our young people. From providing work placements to fabulous role models to sponsorship, the opportunities that our employer partners offer change futures.
