About the charity
Brainwave is a charity that exists to help children with disabilities achieve greater independence by aiming to improve their mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of specialist therapies. The children we work with have a range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy and genetic disorders such as Down syndrome. Our therapists, who are drawn from the mainstream fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and learning development, work with the family to devise a unique Therapy Programme, specifically designed to suit their child’s needs, which will help encourage them to unlock their child’s potential.
This year we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary of delivering life changing therapies for disabled children. We’re inviting everyone that has been touched by Brainwave throughout our 40 years to take part in our celebrations. There are many ways you can get involved – share your memories of Brainwave, donate, fundraise for us, or simply help raise awareness of our work. With the help of our kind supporters, we are hoping to raise an additional £40,000 in 2022 to fund a new full-time therapist which will enable us to support more children with disabilities.
So why not join us in celebrating 40 years of Brainwave and help us raise vital funds at the same time? The money you raise will help transform the lives of the children and families we support.
