Prepare your pliés and pirouettes as Ballet: Masterworks heads to The Bridgewater Hall for an afternoon of stunning music and beautiful dance featuring highlights from some of the most beloved ballets of all time.

No concert of ballet masterpieces would be complete without excerpts from much loved favourites such as Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Delibes’ Sylvia, Stravinsky’s The Firebird and many more. With this fantastic selection there truly is something for all dance fans.

Bringing their astounding grace and precision to the stage will be soloists from The Russian State Ballet of Siberia, who recently came to Manchester as part of their UK tour in January, delighting audiences with their breathtaking physical ability.

Formed in 1981, the Russian State Ballet of Siberia has quickly established itself as one of Russia’s leading ballet companies and has built an international reputation for delivering performances of outstanding quality and unusual depth.

Joining them on stage to bring these pieces to life will be the Manchester Concert Orchestra, conducted by John Pryce Jones.
