Manchester gin makers are flocking to Castlefield for this gin festival next month.
No sooner has a bit of warm weather arrived than we’ve all got gin and sun terraces on the brain. What better time then for Castlefield pub The Wharf to announce they’re having a gin festival.
When it’s not choc-a-bloc with sun-seeking crowds, this cracking custom built canalside pub is an oasis of calm in the city centre. Beautiful wooden beams, roaring open fires, board games to get stuck into and walls of bookshelves to ogle, this has got to be one of the most Instagrammable spots in town.
The gin festival will offer a little bit more than your average gin festival. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and talk directly with distillers producing some incredible gin right here in Manchester and some from further afield, and sample their products at their leisure.
Already confirmed are Manchester distillers Three Rivers, Manchester Gin, Zymorgorium, Forest Gin and The Lakes alongside nationals including Edinburgh, Daffy’s, Colombian Aged, Warner Edwards, Martin Millers. Fenney Street and Citadelle.
It takes place on Friday, May 4th from 6.30 pm to late with live music starting at 7 pm. Tickets are just £15 and include a G&T on arrival followed by more sample G&Ts from the distillers over the course of the evening.
Bag yourself a ticket now before they’re all gone.
