First of all, don’t panic! Although Breakout escape rooms are leaving their current Town Hall location they are still staying firmly put in Manchester – the High Street venue is remaining open for business.
But after four and a half years of puzzles and games at their flagship location opposite the Town Hall, change is coming – and that means a bunch of Breakout’s signature rooms are being retired.
Launching in its current location way back in May 2014, Manchester’s first live escape room was born. Over the years it has welcomed thousands of gaming enthusiasts looking for a completely unique and fun activity that’s perfect for families, colleagues and groups of friends.
And now it’s your last chance to head down and get your final fix of Breakout as we know it.
Madchester
Get your hands on some serious Madchester memorabilia as you find yourself wondering into a passionate collector’s bedroom. Will you be able to pull off the heist, steal his most valuable possessions and escape without him noticing?
Virus
If zombie movies are more your thing, enter into a quarantine zone where a dangerous virus is infecting and killing off the world’s population. It’s your job to fight off the undead, find a cure for the infection and save the world from a zombie apocalypse with the fate of the human race in your hands.
The Detective Office
Unleash your inner Sherlock in the Detective Office, Breakout’s original escape room game. Framed for a murder of a police detective that you didn’t commit, you’re on the run and have to gain access to the crime scene to save yourself from a life behind bars by discovering who the real killer is – and why they killed the mystery detective in question.
Infiltrate
Break in to Breakout as your friends have been wrongfully imprisoned in Infiltrate. Tasked with breaching the prison’s security and helping your pals escape, you only have 60 minutes before the prison guards are back from their lunch break!
Sabotage
Last but not least, in this room, you sabotage enemy plans for a missile strike – with disastrous consequences. With the safety of the entire world at risk, can you break into the control centre, stop the launch and save the whole of humanity?
Whether you’re a serial Breakouter or you’ve never been and fancy trying out some of the original games before they pack their bags for good on 1st May, now is the time to book.
Once they’re gone – they’re gone. So why not avoid the dreary and wet winter weather and stay indoors under lock and key.
The only question is, do you and your pals have the brains and skills required to crack the codes and complete the rooms in 60 minutes or less? There’s only one way to find out!
And remember, as one door closes – another one opens. So watch this space.
