Something very unusual happened in Manchester on Saturday. The sun came out. And it stayed out. And it was warm.

And there’s more to come later this week, so prepare yourself for the sight of blokes walking round with their tops off.

According to the Meteorological Office, we can expect temperatures of 19°, 20°, and 18° on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday respectively in Manchester.

And the BBC reckons it’s going to be even hotter than that. They’re forecasting a sweltering 21°, 23°, and 20°.

That’s hotter than Barcelona, where temperatures will be a measly 19°, 19°, and 18° on those days.

So dig out those shorts, the shades and the factor 30. And why not give the barbecue a good scrub?

But don’t get carried away. Because temperatures are set to dip again just in time for the weekend.

This is Manchester after all.
