Anybody else excited for the Easter bank holiday weekend?

With the weather set to shine some much needed sun over Mancunia for four glorious days, preparing for some Easter fun should be at the top of your agenda this week.

Whether you’re looking to do something that’ll keep the kids entertained, enjoy some family time with your nearest and dearest, or you just want to enjoy your Easter weekend in style, the Great Northern is your one-stop shop for entertainment and food galore.

Boasting some eggtastic treats for adults and children, there’s tons to see and do this weekend – and the best part is, it’s all under one roof so no need to be traipsing all around town with the kids in tow.

Let your first stop of the day take you to Dormouse chocolatiers to sink your teeth into some perfectly handcrafted Easter eggs.

Whether you opt for their award winning toasted white chocolate egg, Peru 50% milk chocolate or Peru 70% dark chocolate eggs, there’s a great selection to choose from. No matter your taste, they’ve got you covered.

Once you’ve got your chocolate fix well in hand, visit Manchester’s most popular all-American bowling destination All Star Lanes for the perfect day of Easter fun.

Challenge your family or mates to a couple of rounds of bowling and let the loser pay for dinner – that’s how we do it at I Love MCR.

Dig in to savoury Easter special Chicken or the Egg – a crispy tortilla bowl with buttermilk fried chicken, crunchy shredded sweet potato, American cheese sauce, charred sweetcorn salsa and a panko poached egg, washed down with a droolworthy Kinder Bueno shake.

All Star Lanes will also be hosting an Easter colouring competition so the little ones can have some fun too, with the chance to win a drink, dine and bowl package for all the family to enjoy.

And on Monday 22nd April at 11am, they are hosting a fun packed Easter egg hunt, with entry to the event completely free.

If you’re looking to put your feet up and spend the weekend relaxing, kick back at Odeon cinema and check out some of the latest releases. Perfect for adults and kids, it’s a no brainer for any movie lovers. With Captain Marvel, Dumbo, How To Train Your Dragon, Mary Poppins Returns, Missing Link, Shazam and The Goonies all playing, good luck deciding.

And the best part? Tickets cost just £5 each, so you can treat the whole family without breaking the bank this Easter.

After your film, why not visit one of the Great Northern’s popular eateries?

Indulge in a classic afternoon tea at luxury restaurant James Martin Manchester. Choose from a traditional tea, three gin taster, or champagne menu, and with prices starting from £19.95 it’s a great shout for those that want to chill out and put the world to rights.

Pay a visit to award-winning Spanish restaurant Evuna. Offering banquet menus for tables of six or more, get your friends or family together for the ultimate feast including tasty tapas, refreshing paellas and delicious mixed grills that are ideal for sharing.

Or try the finest Polish cuisine Manchester has to offer at popular modern Polish restaurant Platzki. Every Saturday they offer a seven course fine dining experience like no other. And with all of its produce locally sourced, there are new offerings added to the menu each week. Costing £36 per person, it’s a great deal for people with a big appetite.

Make it an Easter weekend to remember by heading to the Great Northern and let them do all the work for you. We think you won’t regret it.
