Born with cerebral palsy and two holes in her heart, Freya has already faced more challenges in her short life than most.
At just a tender age, Freya relies on a wheelchair to navigate through each day.
Cerebral palsy, with no known cure, presents a constant battle against spasms and tightness that affect her daily life.
However, with the support of generous souls, there is hope.
Here’s how you can help support her journey towards a better quality of life
How to help Freya
Physiotherapy holds the key to relieving Freya’s daily struggles.
Each session comes at a cost of £90, a price not covered by government funding.
She will need this therapy for many years to come and likely for the rest of her life.
Freya’s family are now appealing to the public to help with donations – and your contributions could make a world of difference, ensuring that Freya receives the vital therapy she needs to lead a fulfilling life.
Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy
In January 2018, Freya underwent Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery, a £16,000 procedure aimed at easing the tightness in her legs.
While it provided significant relief, Freya’s journey took another turn when she required double hip reconstruction surgery in October 2021.
Now, facing the challenge of developing scoliosis, Freya is gearing up for yet another spinal operation later this year.
Despite these hurdles, Freya’s spirit remains indomitable. She continues to embrace life with enthusiasm, cherishing simple joys like riding her trike and swimming.
Yet, her future hangs in the balance, reliant on the kindness of strangers to provide the care and support she desperately needs.
Every donation, no matter how small, contributes to Freya’s journey towards a better quality of life.
Let us come together to ensure that Freya can experience the childhood she deserves, filled with laughter, love, and endless possibilities.
