Healthy food company Freshly Chopped is today opening a new branch in City Tower – and they’re giving away free lunches to celebrate.

The only thing they’re asking in return is that customers give a small donation to Mustard Tree, the Manchester-based homeless charity.

Mustard Tree is a charity helping people to change their lives, secure better accommodation and economic wellbeing. Their primary focus is on tackling both the causes and consequences of poverty and homelessness.

Founded in 2012, Freshly Chopped was developed to meet the needs of the growing number of people who want a fast, great tasting meal that is healthy, delicious, and fresh.

Crisp lettuce selections, garden fresh vegetables, salad dressings, and more than 90 ingredients are ‘chopped’ with signature curved mezzaluna knives and freshly dressed into a unique salad bowl or in a sealed savoury wrap.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mustard Tree, to help support the extraordinary work they do,” said Brian Lee, co-founder and managing director of Freshly Chopped.

“Poverty and homelessness is a prominent issue in Manchester and very topical at the moment, so there was really only one clear choice as to where we would donate the proceeds.”

Brian believes that the new store in Manchester marks the next step in their journey to make Freshly Chopped the world’s best healthy fast food choice.

“We’re confident that we have found the right location and crucially that we have the right infrastructure in place to deliver the foundation we need to grow the brand in the UK,” he says.

“Across all 60 of our stores, our focus this year will be on improving the customer experience with additions to our menu including more hot food choices.”

Claim your free salad bowl or wrap at Freshly Chopped City Tower, Parker Street, Piccadilly Plaza, M1 4BT between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Tuesday 2nd April in return for a donation to Mustard Tree. To claim, download the app and show the ‘Chopper’ when ordering and choose from the ‘Busy Bee’, the ‘Chicken Caesar’ or the ‘Vegan Body Builder’ bowl or wrap.
