Exclusive tickets go on sale for another hidden banquet – and they’re strictly limited

Industry by Dan Doherty is a banquet for 175 people which will take place at the Bonded Warehouse, one of the most important buildings in Manchester’s industrial heritage.

It’s the second in the The Hidden Banquets programme in partnership with Allied London which gives Manchester Food and Drink Festival goers an opportunity to explore some of the city’s secret, undiscovered, historic, and downright jaw dropping spaces, in association with the nation’s most talented and exciting chefs and food heroes – all in the context of Manchester’s cultural identity and heritage.

Built in the 1860s, the Bonded Warehouse is located in the heart of the new St. John’s neighbourhood which forged modern day Manchester. It will be brought back to use in 2017 as part of Allied London’s new Enterprise City development with the introduction of vibrant restaurants and bars on the lower ground floors and loft-style, modern, open-plan workspace on the upper levels. This will be a chance to dine in an extraordinary space not seen by the public for decades before the building is redeveloped.

The banquet is in aid of Action Against Hunger with all profits from the event going to the charity.

Dan will be bringing his unique creativity, flair and passion to Manchester especially for the Festival to create a bespoke banquet that will celebrate a fundamental part of Manchester’s heritage.

Dan is all about creating ingredients-led, vibrant wow-factor food  and brings a wealth of experience from his role as executive chef at London’s acclaimed 24hour restaurant, Duck and Waffle. He is known for his incredible zeal and vivacity which is reflected in the energy of his team and the flavours of his menu which pays homage to classic British cookery.

“Action Against Hunger is an obvious charity for me,” says Dan. “As chefs we spend so much time refining food, it makes sense to make sure those that don’t have any, get some.

“Not many people have the luxury to do what they love. I am one of the lucky ones. As a chef, I have the opportunity to be inventive and create truly memorable experiences that resonate with people, and I’m looking forward to doing that in a fantastic city and extraordinary location.”

This is a one off opportunity to feast in an incredible, unexplored space overlooking the city and enjoy a bespoke banquet created especially for the occasion by a very special guest chef.

Industry by Dan Doherty is taking place at The Bonded Warehouse on Saturday 8th October. 175 tickets for the banquet priced at £75 are on sale now here
