Join FFF & LOANHOOD for the ultimate swap shop event at The Yard on Sept 19th – celebrating Manchester’s Circular Fashion Community!
Join us for our Swap Shop social at The Yard, Manchester on Thursday, 19th September, as Future Fashion Fair CIC teams up with LOANHOOD to bring you the TOP SWAP!
Celebrate Secondhand September by swapping your pre-loved fashion in the beautiful venue in Cheetham Hill, The Yard.
This event is more than just swapping clothes—it’s a community-driven experience for those engaging in the circular fashion economy! Enjoy a drink, grab some food, socialise, and of course swap!
How It Works:
To participate in the swap:
- Bring: Up to 5 items of clean, good-quality clothing, accessories, or footwear. We accept items for all genders and sizes (excluding childrenswear)
- Drop Off: Early drop-off is encouraged between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM to access the best bits but you can drop and swap all night, the last drop is 8:30 PM.
- Token System: Items will be assessed by our Swap Shop Assistants and categorized into two tiers:
- 1 Token: For items valued under £50.
- 2 Tokens: For items valued over £50 or in excellent condition (these will have a yellow sticker).
- Swap: Use your tokens to browse the rails and exchange them for your next obsession. If you don’t use all your tokens, you can save them for our next swap event.
WHAT TO BRING
- Clean and of good quality women’s, men’s clothing and accessories.
- Free of faults or minor repairs
- Something you once valued or will be valued by someone else.
- Ask yourself – would you give this to a friend?
- *No Underwear/Swimwear/ Worn shoes
- All items will be assessed using Our ‘Swap-Shop Item Guide’ by our Swap Shop Assistants.
- Please note* we only accept new or hardly worn shoes
Important Rules:
- Please be considerate of fellow swappers and our assistants
- You may hold onto a maximum of 10 items at any one time, don’t horde the clothes.
- Return unwanted items to the rails for others to enjoy.
- No pushing, shoving, or physical contact is allowed.
- Only items assessed and accepted by our team will be eligible for swapping
- We won’t accept clothing of low quality or with holes and stains, however, we are accepting textile donations which will be collected for a partnered charity.
Terms & Conditions:
- Drop: The value of each item is determined by our Swap Shop Assistants and is final.
- Swap: You can only participate in the swap if you have brought items to exchange.
- Shop: We reserve the right to refuse items that do not meet the criteria of the tokens
