So Retro is bringing its vintage fair to Ramsbottom Civic Hall on Sunday 17th September.
Launched by local mum Michelle Barratt, the fair brings together a mix of antiques, decorative home wear, furniture, fashion, jewellery, vinyl and much more. Vintage lover Michelle often visited the regular bi-monthly fair held at Stockport Marketplace and wanted to create something similar closer to home.
The fair is going to be much more than just stalls though, there will be live music from 3-part harmony girl group The Villanelles, plus talks from TV interior designer Sian Astley, who’ll be explaining how we can incorporate vintage into our homes.
Michelle has also booked TV interior designer and property renovator Sian Astley to talk about how we can incorporate vintage pieces, salvage & reclamation into our home designs and renovations. Sian has appeared on shows such as Half Built House, DIY SOS and Getting the Builders In, as well as project managing behind the scenes on Your Home Made Perfect. Sian is painstakingly renovating her own home in South Manchester and always uses reclaimed materials, decorative salvage and unique pieces for both client design work and her own projects. She runs workshops from her home on how to use the past to create the future, and will be bringing her wealth of knowledge to the vintage fair on the 17th September.
Doors open at 11am and it’s on until 4pm. Entry is just £2 on the door, and under 14s are free. Visitors can get a stamp which allows them to come and go throughout the day.
