QRC Presents: Alternative Pride 2023

A grass roots not for profit Pride celebrating queer Manchester with 2 days of workshops, art, music, food, forest school and more!

Queer Roots Collective are a regenerative Grassroots group based in Manchester who are shifting the focus of pride to community rather than capitalist corporations.

We’re growing an environmentally centred queer community by hosting events such as social gardening days, walks, talks, parties and more.

QRC Alternative Pride is based at Platt Fields Market Garden, a community market garden in central Manchester that runs volunteers days, wellbeing sessions and events throughout the year.

Two days of workshops, arts and crafting, dancing, kids activities and delicious food and drink.

On Saturday the bar will be serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and on the Sunday the bar will only be serving non alcoholic drinks in response to a desire for more dry queer spaces.
