This year’s festivities promise an electrifying array of events, showcasing the diverse and inclusive spirit of the LGBTQ+ community, with some new faces as part of the line-up alongside some Prestwich Pride favourites.
Before the events begin, in early August local artist Myro Doodles, will be back again for a third year to be adorning the windows of Prestwich with her colourful and celebratory Pride designs.
Kicking off the weekend on Friday 9th August is the fabulous Drag Quiz hosted by none other than The Fat Britney at Macca’s Bar, promising an evening of laughter, wit, and fierce competition.
For those who prefer an active start to their day, join the Manchester Frontrunners for an exhilarating Park Run at Heaton Park on Saturday 10th August, welcoming members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies of all running abilities.
Families are invited to join the fun at Prestwich Con Club with Born to be Wild Child, an event packed with entertainment and activities for children and parents alike, promising to be as popular as it’s been year’s previous.
The party kicks off at 2pm with an eclectic mix of northern queer performers taking over all three floors at Cuckoo, with everything from DJ sets, live singing and drag performances.
As the sun sets, the party continues into the night with the favourite neighbourhood DJs Love Hangover, providing the closing set at The Goods In.
Now in its third year, Prestwich Pride remains committed to giving back to the community, with funds raised during the weekend being donated to local charities, including the George House Trust.
This impressive line-up is just the beginning, with more exciting announcements on the horizon
