National Day of Reflection 2024

As there is no official commemoration event for Manchester, a small gathering has been arranged for families & friends to remember Mancunians… their loved ones.. lost to Covid.

We plan to lay yellow flowers and send some up river. We will have speakers on hand should anybody request a song, hymn or other piece of music to be played during this time and if you would like to release a balloon many others will be too.

This isn’t a time to air beliefs, non beliefs etc. This is a time to be respectful and to allow people to remember & celebrate their loved ones.

The gathering starts from 11.30am at Mayfield Park, with a two minutes silence to be held at midday.
