There’s a new style of eating coming to the UK this autumn and you could be one of the first to experience it.
Apericena (a mix of aperitivo and cena, meaning dinner) has seen a huge rise in popularity in recent years. The concept began in Piedmont (Northern Italy) and blends the bar and restaurant scene in a more convivial, standing space that promises to get diners off their seats.
Now Premium Italian Alpine Birra, Menabrea, from Piedmont, is giving diners the chance to experience the growing trend for themselves with a series of exclusive free Apericena evenings across London, Manchester and Glasgow this September.
Italian restaurants across the three cities are removing low tables and chairs for the first time, giving diners the opportunity to enjoy a more social and up-tempo meal out – serving up tasty Piedmontese style small-plates and Menabrea Italian Alpine Birra.
With no ‘tables’ to book, those wanting to experience the Apericena evenings will need to secure a spot online to enjoy the evening on Wednesday 13th September in Manchester.
Bringing the Italian flavour, ambitious young chef and writer Antonina Parker is partnering with Menabrea, and will prepare mouth-watering and bitesize traditional Piedmont dishes that draw inspiration from the meticulously sourced ingredients used to brew Italy’s finest Alpine birra.
