“Lost Girl” by Amy Lever

19 May @ 19:00 - 20:15

Manchester Jewish Museum

A work-in-progress play exploring Jewish-Arab heritage, the expectations of womanhood and found family.

“Hey Siri, is Syria in the EU?”

Birdy, twenty years old, aimless but determined to travel, digs through her estranged family’s Jewish heritage in the hope of obtaining an EU passport. Instead, she unearths a family secret buried since 1930s Cairo.

Lost Girl is a work-in-progress play, written and performed by Amy Lever. Join us to experience an exciting new piece of theatre, followed by a discussion between Amy and our Creative Producer, Elly, about the process of writing, links to the stories in the museum’s collection and Amy’s own family history.
